Dirk Gertmann

Teamleader Center of Competence Consumables, Bühler

Dirk holds a MBA by the VWA in Frankfurt. He has worked over 20 years in the vacuum industry with experience in commercial administration, sales and purchasing.

Since 2010 his is dedicated to the broad field of consumables for vacuum deposition machines. Dirk joined Bühler Leybold Optics Customer Service in 2016 and is now  the team leader of the new founded Center of Competence (CoC) Consumables. As a part of the Bühler Leybold Optics solution world, his team is focused on serving all customers with materials and accessoires. 

Xavier Pérez

R&D Project Manager, Process Development and Applications, Bühler

Xavier Pérez holds a PhD in Chemistry by the IQS School of Engineering (Barcelona, Spain).

With more than 10 years’ experience leading technical teams in the Pharma., Biotech and Coatings Industry. Since 2013, he has been working in the ophthalmic field on R&D and Production. Currently, as part of the Optics R&D team at Bühler Leybold Optics, Xavier is responsible for the Ophthalmic Lab at the Application Center in Alzenau, leading new process developments, trainings, lab solutions and analysis testing services for the ophthalmic industry.
