Strong order growth for Bühler in 2017
Uzwil (Switzerland), January 24, 2018 – Bühler achieved strong growth in 2017, increasing its order intake organically by 10% to CHF 2.8 billion. Both businesses, Grains & Food and Advanced Materials, contributed to this positive development.
Grains & Food increased its order intake by 7% to CHF 2.1 billion. Advanced Materials achieved an order intake of CHF 672 million, which is 21% higher compared to the previous year. The order backlog at year-end increased by 9% to over CHF 1.7 billion. Geographically, Middle East/Africa and Asia recorded the highest growth. "Our dynamism has increased. This strong growth confirms our strategy of differentiating ourselves in the marketplace by offering innovative and sustainable solutions. Our product portfolio, our customer proximity, and in particular our committed employees make the difference," says CEO Stefan Scheiber.
