You will learn how to make a grain mill efficient - about basic milling processes, machine design and plant operation. But this isn’t just theoretical training.

You will spend an entire day at our fully operational school mill learning to understand how a mill works, followed by another full day at our Bakery Innovation Center to understand the art of bread making.

We will discuss the key drivers of investing in the latest milling technology and how to maintain business profitability.

No technological knowledge required. This course is well-suited for managers in leading positions and mill owners.

Michael Albers

Milling Academy

Michael’s primary areas of expertise are common cereals and milling solutions. He teaches our milling courses, including onsite courses. He also conducts mill assessments. Michael completed his apprenticeship in 2007 and graduated from the German Milling School in Braunschweig in 2010. He worked in the milling industry for seven years until he joined our Milling Academy team in 2017.

Infrastructure and amenities

Milling Academy hall

You will be based at our Milling Academy hall. Your classroom is situated right next door to our milling floor, where you can explore many of our latest milling machines.

School mill

Gain practical experience at our fully operational and fully equipped school mill. Use many of our latest milling machines and understand how they operate in a normal industrial environment.

Lounge

Spacious and comfortable lounge for breaks, including complimentary tea and coffee.

Growing up in a milling family we were familiar with very basic milling concepts but we were not formally trained. The course helped to fill in a lot of blanks. It taught us how to use materials and honed some of our skills.
