Bühler Apprenticeship Academy
Customer Service EngineersOur apprenticeship program is modeled after the European apprenticeship system: It is a formalized career training program that offers a combination of structured on-the-job training and related technical instruction to train the apprentices in an occupation that demands a high level of skill. In Switzerland and Germany apprenticeships are valued as a great alternative to a college education with more than 60% of young people going through an apprenticeship program. These countries’ economies rely heavily on employees having gained skills and knowledge through apprenticeships.
Bühler Inc. has apprentices who learn and work in our facility, attend classes at Dunwoody College of Technology and visit customer sites for on-the-job training. All of this leads to becoming Customer Service Engineers/Industrial Specialists for Machine and Process Technology. Our apprenticeship connects learning directly to the world of work. Apprentices are paid as full time employees of Bühler Inc. for the entire length of the program (3 years) and receive benefits. All training classes, tools, books, computer and uniforms are paid for by Bühler. As a company, we wholeheartedly support our apprentices and the training programs they undertake.
