The fun behind the scenes

Behind the curtain: meet the people powering Networking Days

Behind every successful Networking Days (NWD) event lies the dedication and expertise of a passionate team working behind the scenes. These individuals coordinate countless details, manage logistics, handle technical challenges, and ensure a seamless experience for every participant.  We spoke to our champions to get a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes.

Find out about their favorite moments during this amazing journey of Networking Days 2025!

Jessica Stucki

“What excites me most about the NWD is the incredible team spirit and the “all-hands-on-deck-mentality" of everyone involved. I am simply amazed by all the hard work my brilliant peers put in to make this event happen. As we get closer now, there’s a unique feeling of anticipation as we watch all our planning unfold, and I am really looking forward to seeing not only our customers, but also our colleagues enjoying the experience. Witnessing everyone connect and create lasting memories is truly something special.”

Anna Caliendo

“One of my favorite parts is seeing the vision come to life. It’s one thing to have everything mapped out on paper – but standing in the actual space and seeing it take shape exactly (or almost exactly) how you imagined it… that’s always a special moment. And if it works just as well in practice as it did in theory? That’s wow!”

Kaspar Naef

“Every time the NWDs take place, my absolute favorite moment is to look at the very first customer that walks into the ice rink and catch their expression of utter wow and surprise at the scale of everything.”

Claudio Naef

“My favorite moments are seeing all the smiling faces and experiencing the incredible feeling of what we can achieve together with great teamwork. It’s inspiring to witness everyone’s dedication and passion come together to create something truly memorable.”

Stefan Kellenberger

“I’m super proud to have been supporting NWD since the beginning. What a journey from the first one in 2016! I have my WOW moments throughout the event: when the tent is there, when Chäspi moves his office to the Icerink, when the customers arrive and take their seats, and finally, when the event is over with a big bang. Of course, I’m also super proud of all the heroes. NWDs is truly the best we do!”

Antonio Rossi

“I say this on behalf of Stefan and myself. Our favorite moment is to see all the heroes we trained supporting the event, employees, and our customers with great passion and energy in all areas of the event.”

Isabel Maganto

“My favorite moments are seeing happy customers and salespeople and hearing positive feedback after a successful event. What I value most is being part of Bühler, working together with dedicated teams. Despite the long hours, the camaraderie – like sharing pizza in the evenings – makes it unforgettable. NWD 2025 will be my last event, and I wish the best of luck to the teams for NWD 2028!”

Nicolas Scholz

“There are countless little moments that we experience together as a team that make the event even more exciting. Seeing happy faces of satisfied customers does instill that thrill in me, but the sense of community we feel as Bühler employees tops my list of favorite moments.”

Cathrin Fluehler

“The first team meetings, the buzz of building something from scratch, connecting with new people across Bühler – it’s incredibly energizing. And then, that moment on Monday when the customers arrive. There’s this switch: we’ve done all we can, now we roll.”

Michele Bodmer

“My favorite part of working on the Networking Days event is being part of such a creative team. Even under pressure, the Communications team pulls together, brings out our best ideas, and manages to have a lot of fun in the process. We laugh a lot. Somehow – even though it sounds odd – working to tight deadlines energizes us and sparks even more creativity. It strengthens our bond and reminds us of what we’re capable of as communicators and creators.”

Raksha Sharma

My favorite moments are the last few days when everything is crazy, and everyone has dug their heels in and put their heads down to get everything done. And then the days of the event itself – inspiring talks and seeing how people are really making a difference is a rush. Finally, the sigh of relief in the end – once the herculean task is done (and hopefully well!).”

Ana Viljac

“The countdown on Employee Day for the CEO presentation and when it all starts officially really does it for me. It’s that mix of nerves, excitement, and pride. Also, the spontaneous conversations with participants – those unscripted moments that remind you why we do it.”

Gospa Tesic

“This might be the common favorite moment for most of us, but I would vote for customer reactions as my top choice, because it is undeniable, the rush we get from that moment.”

Ives Gregorin

“Some of my absolute favorite moments on set are when everyone – suppliers, supporters, and our own team – comes together, totally aligned and focused on reaching the same goal.”

Organizing an event at this level is certainly not an easy task, but these wizards certainly make it look like one. A huge shoutout to everyone working hard to make this event a success – both the ones mentioned and those working quietly behind the scenes.
