Annual results 2021

Together we’ve reached the next level 🎞️

We’re a CHF 3 billion company again after growing our order intake to CHF 3.02 billion in 2021. Our continued investments in innovation and people during the coronavirus pandemic were the foundation of this successful year, which will fully translate into growing turnover in 2022 thanks to a substantial order backlog. We look back to an eventful year together with our Executive Board Members.

“Our engaged employees in our strong global network allowed us to prove our reliability to our customers and partners. And we clearly strengthened our innovation power,” said our CEO Stefan Scheiber during the annual announcement media conference in Uzwil on February 15, 2022. His statement was underlined by some very impressive facts beyond our financial results. In 2021, Bühler colleagues in 140 countries finished 2,000 customer projects, delivered 50,000 machines, and completed 160,000 service orders.

Given the challenges we faced as an organization last year, the numbers underscore the commitment of our employees around the world to our customers and to our company. From ongoing restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic to rising raw material prices, political tensions, and changing consumer behavior – our almost 12,500 colleagues in all markets had to bring their A-game and live up to our TOP values (Trust, Ownership, and Passion) to make sure we serve our customers as best as we could.
