With the small-scale cocoa processing plant, gain access to the latest technologies in our center that is dedicated to first class training, recipe development and optimization, and process improvement.

We cover the whole process: hulling, alkalizing, roasting, grinding and pressing. Our technologist and process engineer will accompany you in your training and development with help that is tailored to your specific needs. Gain exclusive access to our equipment, test and develop your recipes without shutting down your plant, and train your employees with lots of interaction and case studies for maximum retention. Our experts are also available for technical assistance and training at your plant.

Meet our experts and masters of cocoa processing

Head of Customer Service & CFIA

Kevin Katy

Kevin’s primary area of expertise is cocoa processing. He teaches all levels of cocoa processing, including on-site courses. He also conducts cocoa processing plant assessments, commissioning, recipe development and process improvement. Kevin started his career in cocoa processing in 2002. He worked in various roles such as research and development, quality assurance and production for the major cocoa processors in Côte d’Ivoire. He joined Bühler in 2018.

Senior Service Engineer

Nathan Lezou

Nathan joined Bühler in 2014 after several years spent as a maintenance and technical manager in various cocoa processing companies. Nathan is a mechanical engineer by trade and graduated from the “Institut National Polytechnique – Houphouët-Boigny de Yamoussoukro (Inp-HB)”. During his time at Bühler, Nathan contributed to the commissioning of several cocoa processing plants. He is currently a senior service engineer supporting our Consumer Foods customers in West and Central Africa.
