I joined Bühler's R&D department in 2015. It was a busy job and in my first year our team created seventeen new products. I was responsible for developing high protein expansion kernels, used in cereal bars. Today, I am a Production Manager in Wuxi, China.

What type of work do you do at Bühler?

As a production manager, I improve production processes and look at how we can increase yield, capacity and efficiency of our machines and industrial processes. I ensure that our orders are fulfilled at a high quality level. I also help to train new talents and to build up our team.

What did you do before you joined Bühler?

I studied Food Science and Engineering. I then stayed on at Jiangnan University as a process engineer, in the National Engineering Laboratory for Cereal Fermentation Technology. I worked there with our customers to improve production processes for fruit, vegetables, meat, baking, egg and bean products, for example.

What was your biggest challenge at Bühler?

Our business is developing fast in China. My team grew from 10 to 30 employees in just a year. I have had to learn how to manage bigger teams, helping them to train, create new shifts and still deliver everything on time.

What do you do outside of work?

I love conducting sports. I am a member of my old university’s badminton team. We also have our own Bühler basketball team in Wuxi – so I play in that team as well.
