Energy savings increase sustainability and help to save costs

The exhaust-air flow control enables in-process heat recuperation. We have reduced electricity consumption using a more aerodynamic design and energy-efficient fans. The thermal system saves cooling energy throughout the whole line. This all improves the sustainability of pasta production and has a direct impact on production costs.

Patented drying concept

Top-quality pasta

We have developed a technology which dries the pasta in its rubbery state. High humidity in the drying air prevents the surface of the pasta from becoming glassy, so the pasta remains elastic throughout the whole drying cycle. The physical state of the pasta reduces stresses caused by shrinkage to a minimum. The proteins are well integrated into the gluten network, resulting in a firm texture.

State-of-the-art design

Gentle stick handling for high capacities

For models above 3500 kg per hour, an innovative stick transport reduces the chain speed of the elevators, eliminating any unguided stick movements. The new system relies on stronger chains and a patented pendulum transporting two sticks at a time. The pasta can be elevated more precisely in the multi-tier dryer, increasing reliability and reducing wear and tear.

Keeping the pasta in a rubbery state while drying it has shortened stabilization time by about 40 minutes, when compared to traditional lines. Therefore, our larger dryers can be built multi-tiered and still take up less floor space. The Ecothermatik is up to 14 meters shorter than our C-line pasta dryers.

The Ecothermatik's simple mechanical design helps with quicker installation and maintenance. The large elements keep air constantly circulating. They also offer easy access for cleaning and maintenance. Every floor is safely accessible by walkways. The stick transport with its mechanical synchronization is also designed for reliability.

The long-goods pasta cooler has a smart heat-exchange design and offers an automatic dew point regulation. This provides efficient cooling conditions. It also avoids risks of condensation, which could create visible spots on the pasta.

We build the panels of our dryers with highly insulating materials to provide a higher energy efficiency. The curved shape of the dryer's panels helps to maintain a high level of sealing tension. This all leads to uniform drying, helping to produce no defects or breakages after drying.
