What are the different types of Channel partners

A Referral Partner will generate and qualify sales leads (‘aka’ sales opportunities) and register these with Bühler against receipt of a contractually agreed finder fee 

and subject to specific terms and conditions of the contract between Bühler and Referral Partner.

A sales agent will generate and qualify sales leads and sell products in Bühler’s name and at Bühler’s prices, terms & conditions against receipt of a contractually agreed agent commission and subject to specific terms and conditions of the contract signed between Bühler and Agent. Usually, an agent is also made responsible for Customer Management. 

Some Agents may also take on certain services (such as basic engineering, commissioning and start-up of machines, warranty support, onsite/online training of customer operators) after receiving adequate training from Bühler as part of the Bühler training & certification program for CPs. Financial- and commercial risk of transactions with the customer always remains with Bühler, though.

A Reseller handles relationship with customers independently. At a minimum, a Reseller will qualify leads (received from Bühler), generate and qualify his own leads, sell Bühler’s products in Reseller’s own name and at its own prices, terms & conditions. Bühler will sell its products to the Reseller at a resale price (usually defined as recommended enduser price minus a reseller discount). The direct financial- and commercial risk of transaction with the customer remains always with the Reseller, not with Bühler. Some Resellers may also take on certain services such as basic engineering or in some cases also commissioning and start-up of machines, training of customer operators, warranty support after receiving adequate training from Bühler as part of the Bühler training & certification program for CPs.

Our e-commerce Channel Portal is currently being rolled out globally and is already available in many countries. The Channel Portal enables you to configure and order Bühler machines online. Doing business with us has never been that easy.

  • Experts on specific process steps in the industry
  • Skilled and experienced solution provider in food, feed or related industries
  • Process know-how in weighing, cleaning, pelleting, grinding, mixing, drying, cooling, sorting, conveying and sieving
  • Engineering and automation companies in the food and feed industries
  • Local repair workshops running maintenance work for food and feed producers
  • Installation and mounting companies
  • Ability to offer installation, integration, and servicing
