Small seeds with big advantages

Millet is a staple food that is usually grown for local consumption. It is a cereal crop and has a protein content of about 10% and 2-5% fat. Millet is highly nutritious and can be cooked like rice or ground to make porridge or flour, for example. Millet is a drought tolerant crop and has a high resistance to pests and diseases. Further the crop provides high nutritional value and health benefits (e.g. reducing blood pressure, risk of heart disease, cholesterol).

Our processes include cleaning and hydrothermal treatment to inactivate enzymes, pearling to take away the fatty coat and extend shelf life, grinding into flour and semolina and then finally sifting and grading.
