Situated in the Kampong Speu province of Cambodia, the Primalis Corporation was founded in 2013 with an ambition to be one of the country’s leading exporters. It quickly achieved this aim, becoming one of the five largest rice exporters in Cambo-dia within just a few years of its launch.
This meant that the company needed to upgrade its facilities to create a state-of-the-art plant, a project for which Bühler was the perfect partner. Bühler has now provided Primalis with the first rice pre-processing line in Cambodia with a capacity to handle 45 tons per hour.

Close partnership
The project’s scope encompassed every process step from intake to cleaning, polishing and grading. Bühler also supplied the complete conveying mechanism, as well as its industry-leading Mercury (MES) automation system for maximum efficiency and traceability, and full analysis of key data.
Bühler worked in close partnership with Primalis throughout the operation, coordinating and supervising all installations and bringing in experts from neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam to complement its own highly qualified local team.
