How TEA adds value

Techno-Economic Assessment translates your idea into a complete bioprocess concept at industrial scale. We define the process mode (batch, fed-batch, continuous) and the upstream, downstream, and formulation steps. Based on your lab or pilot data, we build mass and energy balances and size key equipment at the target capacity, giving you a transparent view of how the process behaves in a realistic factory setup.

Investment and operating cost model

How TEA adds value

We quantify the investment and running costs of your process. Our TEA models estimate CAPEX for main equipment, installation, buildings, and utilities, as well as OPEX for raw materials, media, energy, labor, consumables, and waste. From this we calculate cost of goods (CoGs) and show how economics change with key performance parameters.
