LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS
(25 … 60 pairs/8 h)Space-saving super compact design
To make the commonly used evaporation technology available even for the lowest production volumes, the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater has been created with a focus not only on producing high quality AR coatings, but also with an emphasis on a very compact machine footprint. This has resulted in the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS requiring less than 1 m² in terms of floor space, making it ideal not only for low-volume production labs, but for all lab sizes.
Cutting-edge technology delivers state-of-the-art performance
Despite its compact design, the LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater includes the latest Bühler Leybold Optics technology which guarantees highest quality to meet all of the market requirements for modern coatings. This coater utilizes high quality key components such as electron-beam guns, in-chamber hydrophobic coatings and a turbo pumping system arrangement, all complemented by intelligent software tools.
Flip-over or dome system for volume adaptation
The LEYBOLD OPTICS MCS coater is available with two different substrate holder arrangements. Its flip-over system allows both sides of the lenses to be coated in one production run and, what is more, any shape of lens to be coated without any adaptation. The flip-over configuration allows to load a maximum of 5 lens pairs.
The second configuration uses a dome with correspondingly machined apertures for the placement of round lenses. Up to 13 pairs of lenses with a diameter of 70 mm can be loaded and coated from the lower side, generating a production throughput of approximately 60 pairs per 8-h shift. Coating of the second side requires manual turning of each lens.
