In his early 40s, with roots in Puglia and a degree in Economics and Finance from Notthingam Trent University in Notthingam (UK), Michele Andriani is President and CEO of Andriani S.p.A. Benefit Society, a company based in Gravina in Puglia, Italy, founded in 2009 by his family and today a reference point and among the main market leaders in innovation and healthy food. A great supporter of issues of environmental sustainability and circular economy, Michele Andriani since his entrepreneurial debut, also inspired by a significant meeting with Gunter Pauli and the Blue Economy model, has pursued the goal of an eco-sustainable business growth, also understood as change generated by the knowledge sharing, focusing on innovation in processes, products and resources. Since 2021 he has also been a Board Member of the UN - Global Compact Network Italy, a network that promotes the principles of sustainable development and corporate responsibility. He has taken part, as an expert in Innovation Food Processing, in numerous studies of research and is also founder of Terre Bradaniche, a company promoting the first Italian project dedicated to the sustainable cultivation of legumes. He was honored in 2019 with the EY Entrepreneur Award in the Food&Beverage sector.
