Jonathan Abbis began his career at Excellon Industries in California as a project manager after earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1984. He later studied French at the University of Lausanne and completed the Program for Executive Development at IMD International in Lausanne.
Over more than 40 years, Jonathan Abbis has held various senior management positions in industrial technology, sales, service, and business leadership. From 1989 to 2010, he worked at Bobst Group in Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States. In 2010, he joined Bühler as President of Bühler Aeroglide Corporation, and later became President of Bühler Die Casting. From 2021 to 2023, he was Head of Global Services and Sales, before becoming Global Head of Sales Channel Management in 2023.
In July 2026, Jonathan Abbis was appointed Chief Sales and Services Officer and Member of the Executive Board of the Bühler Group.
