Marcel Natterer began his professional career as a designer and, after receiving a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Civil Engineering from the School of Engineering in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a diploma in Industrial Engineering with a major in Marketing at the AKAD University of Applied Sciences in Lahr, Germany, he worked as a project manager at various engineering companies in Switzerland.
In 1998 he moved to Hilti AG in Schaan, Liechtenstein, and over 10 years gained experience in executive roles in marketing and product management, including as Director of Marketing for Hilti (Korea) Ltd.
Marcel Natterer joined Bühler in 2009. He was Head of Product Management and Marketing in the Food Processing division until 2010 and led the business unit Pasta & Extruded Products until 2015. From 2015 until 2023 he was Managing Director of the business area Value Nutrition in the Grains & Food business.
In the first quarter of 2023, Marcel Natterer was named CEO of Advanced Materials.
