Bühler wins large-scale order from Saudi Arabia
08/16/2010 Uzwil - The Bühler Technology Group has been awarded a large-scale contract worth a total of CHF 110 million in Saudi Arabia.
The contract is related to Saudi Arabia’s plan to privatize its grain mills in the coming years, which to date have been managed by the government. The operator of the plants, the governmental “Grain Silo and Flour Organization” (GSFMO), thereby plans to satisfy the rapidly growing and high requirements of the country’s grain flour market. The order comprises two subprojects. In Mecca, Bühler has been entrusted with the key project for a new facility worth CHF 90 million and a processing capacity of 1200 metric tons per day. In the port of Jeddah, the Group will modernize a plant with a capacity of 450 metric tons per day for a contract volume of CHF 20 million.
