Buhler-Tailored Nanobatch®
Three important collaboration stages are required for developing a Buhler-Tailored Nanobatch® with an assured product supply chain. First, the requirement profile is defined together with the customer. Buhler PARTEC will then evaluate the suitable base material and define the appropriate particle surface modification. The customer will receive different generations of specimen suspensions from Buhler PARTEC containing differently functionalized nanoparticles. The suspensions will be incorporated in the relevant end product and tested at the customer’s site. Once the desired results have been achieved, Buhler PARTEC will upscale the results, enabling the supply of larger quantities to the customer for application tests and in-house production tests. As soon as this phase has been passed, the customer will launch his product. Buhler PARTEC will now produce the tailor-made nanobatch and supply it to the customer.
In the course of the Buhler-Tailored Nanobatch® collaboration project, Buhler PARTEC will bear all of its own development costs. During the development period, the customer will participate by paying two retention fees. However, when the product supplies are invoiced, the customer will receive a price discount until the retention fees have been completely paid back.
