Ship loaders

Bulk loading of free-flowing and non-free-flowing materials is carried out as required by belt conveyors (if necessary of enclosed design) or chain conveyors and loading pipes into ships of sizes up to 120,000 DWT (Dead Weight Tons). To prevent dust emissions, the loaders can be equipped with loading head dust suppressors.

Mobile or stationary
Ship unloaders may be of mobile rail- or tire-mounted design or stationary. Their size and design are tailored to the local conditions and specific needs. Installations are available with throughputs up to 2400 metric tons per hour.

The material is typically fed by belt conveyor trippers or through permanent transfer points either directly or through an elevator leg to the boom conveyor and then through the loading pipe into the ship’s hold. 

For increasing the range of action, the telescopic loading pipe can be kicked in and out.
