Brewing and Malting: Grain processing for the production of beer
The brewing of beer is a sophisticated business full of traditions. In addition to the know-how of the beer brewer, the quality of water, hops and malt are decisive factors for the beer quality. Buhler assists malthouses and breweries in the production of malt and beer.
This comprises the whole process from the intake of the grain including malting in the malthouse up to the grinding of malt in the brewery. Buhler malting plants are used to turn barley into malt. In the brewery, the malt und unmalted grain are processed to make them fit for the subsequent mashing process.
The Buhler specialists know and focus the corresponding process technologies and develop custom-made system solutions. Upon request, they also plan and realize turn-key malthouses and grinding plants.

The BRAU Beviale 2008, the get-together for the European beverage industry, takes place again in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 12-14 November. A good 1,400 exhibitors of beverage raw materials, technologies, logistics and marketing ideas have confirmed their presence. On the demand side, the industry’s most important capital goods exhibition this year expects some 34,000 potential customers. Aquagroup AG will be present at the booth from Competence Pool Weihenstephan (cpw) during the Brau Beviale in Nuremberg. Cpw is in charge of the thematic structure of the theme parcs Energy & Water for the whole beverage industry.
